However, companies certainly not only want to get back what they invested — they want to make fat profit, too. A lot of idols start work when underage. They are given this image of fame, money and glory and I doubt the negative sides of the industry no freedom, being whored out to sponsors etc are described to them, not that kids can really understand anyway. This is often a case of abuse of minors. Parents allow their kids to go ahead and do it, because they are also in the dark and like the idea of the money it might bring.
This is a daaark dark industry. Even darker than the kdrama one. When you are in what is essentially a mafia-like web of money, everything from your financial to your physical well-being might be threatened if you disobey. Bc I think Mafia-like to describe the industry is a somewhat accurate way. Contract can have unfair terms, and I agree that consider most artists are underage, does not have the right mentality to distinguish or truly understand many things.

That some fans feel they have a strong personal bond with their idols, and then feel betrayed when those idols are revealed to be in a relationship, is a problem hardly confined to K-pop fandom. But it is amplified by three characteristic features of Korean popular culture. First, there is the overexposure of its celebrities.

But as the years march on, the groups have endured — through their fashion, their cool, and most importantly, their songs. The song’s gentle, heavenly guitar picking is augmented by restrained backing harmonies and austere strings, and the whole composition could seem oppressively wholesome — if not for the aching sexual longing Priscilla Paris injects into the words “squeeze me, tease me, please me” just before the song fades out. Do you need to be Korean to be in K-Pop? No dating While the industry is changing and the boundaries of what constitutes K-Pop being forever expanded, the genre has long been associated with the intensely manufactured idol groups. Members of those groups often sign with labels in their late teens, living together with other artists and taking part in intense training, performance and promotional regimens that can leave stars burned out and isolated from friends and family at a young age.
Last year, South Korea’s Fair Trade Commission ordered labels to stop pushing so-called “slave contracts” on artists, which imposed onerous financial penalties on idols if they attempted to quit groups or otherwise breached agreements such as “no dating” clauses. Even for those artists permitted to date by their employers, fan backlash could prevent them from having much of a love life.

He met Korean parents twice when dating a Korean woman, and both times the family was warm and welcoming. 2. The first couple of dates with a Korean woman was always a bit nerve-racking because he was unfamiliar with Korean dating culture and didn’t want to make mistakes.
I am 34 years old, divorced four years. I was married for ten years, have four beautiful boys under 9 and have a very fulfilling and successful career. My life is happy, but I really would love to share it with someone… but dating when you have FOUR kids is like the Mt Everest of the dating world! It seems almost impossible for men to see past that.
Well, let me clarify: I have an outgoing personality and seem to be asked out a lot… we usually go on a few dates, everything is going wonderful… but nobody ever COMMITS. I am SICK of feeling used. I am sick of being treated like a piece of ass, and treated like I must be desperate because I have kids. Even if I really take my time getting to know someone before we become intimate… it seems that sex is all they continue to want.
Do I need to be a nun in order to find someone who can actually see a relationship with me? Is it unreasonable that I am hoping someone could take me seriously or see my worth? I believe I have a lot to offer — I am caring, kind, warm, loyal and intelligent. There is more to me than a MILF. I am not looking for a father for the boys; they have one.

Eugene Shin August 7, Recently, Korean idol group T-ara was in the scandal spotlight for allegedly bullying its own member Hwa-young. Employees in the entertainment industry, however, say bullying and conflict within idol groups is not unique to T-ara. The lack of personal life for idol stars has often been discussed in TV shows. Another female idol group that debuted last year agreed to give up their cellphones until they top the charts, at the recommendation of their agency.
Some agencies temporarily collect personal cellphones during training, but provide a shared phone for emergency use. Many idol groups are required to be housed together.
Kpop stars secretly dating Stable and willing to travel to the big year for about 6. Have been that good and not too expensive for many young families who want to be family oriented and devoted to me, myself.
The reason for this, I am honestly not sure. I wonder if it is because Kpop exists outside of the stereotyped idea of what persons of colour are supposed to like. One such site that explores the intersection between Kpop fans and black people – specifically black women – is Kpop Meets Black Women. With that said I have noticed that this site gets loads of negative attention for being what it is. That is why I have decided to review it, like I would anything else. It took me a while to put together because I have some strong opinions on this particular website and the amount of hate it receives on a regular basis.
With that being said, I hope that I managed to portray some of the good and bad about this website, from my point of view. According to the moderators, the site is about: Some people believe that Kpop groups do not know where the history of the music comes from but posts showing these celebs talking these black heroes show that these idols are not oblivious as some may think.
They highlight issues and interactions with idols of all women of colour. Although I have yet to comment on the site I have read many of the topics and questions asked and the moderators are very friendly towards visitors. Asian men are too perfect. They constantly prove it simply by existing. Kind of makes you see certain videos differently.
