Head to your fuse box and make sure there is no power coming to the room you’re currently working in. Use a voltage detector to ensure that you’re not going to shock yourself once you start working. Before you even start wiring, you want to get the fixtures securely in place so that you can effectively wire everything together. Take your power wire, coming from the house, and slide it into the first switch box. Choose a direction that will make it easy for you to then thread the wire towards your second switch box. Strip off enough of the rubber coating around your NM wire to expose the wires underneath.

Once you have identified which is which the live goes into L1 on the three gang chandellier switch and the switch live goes to L2 on the same switch.
This should enable the two way switches to operate as required. To get the other two switches on the three gang to operate as normal switches you would have to run two twin and earth cables from their respective live power sources to Common on the second and third switch and their respective switch lives back to their lights.
You can see how difficult this is to explain from afar – especially if there is a junction box in the way and the wiring is less than normal. You could do with a multi-meter to establish which cable is live and switch but you would need to understand how to operate one. If all this appears too daunting then I would suggest you get an electrician in to try and sort out the mess.

It will have two wires coming from it. It does not make any difference which wire connects to the 1 wire coming from the alternator. The other wire from the socket connects to the ignition terminal on the ignition switch. When you turn on the ignition switch, current flows thru the bulb to the alternator internally grounded and will light up the bulb. Once the engine has been started the light will go out.
If you prefer to use a diode not a resistor , you will connect it so that the current will only flow from the ignition terminal of the ignition switch to the alternator. A diode only allows the flow of current in one direction.
